China and Mauritius concluded negotiations on a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) in Beijing on Sunday, which exerts said is a breakthrough in Beijing's efforts to build a global free trade network.

"The China-Mauritius FTA will be China's first bilateral free trade agreement with an Africa country. The conclusion of the talks is a breakthrough for China to build a global free trade network," said Zhang Jianing, director of the West Asia and Africa Institute under the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooeration.
